Self Drive, Transfers and Flying to the Snowy Mountains

Driving to Thredbo:

What ever your preference in getting to the Snowy Mountains Ski n Save are happy to help you find the best possible way for you and your group to help take the hassle out of organising a holiday! The NSW Snowfields are easy to get to with direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Canberra. From there, you can either hire a car or catch a coach transfer to the snow.

It is a requirement that all vehicles except 4WDs carry properly fitting chains at all times within the Kosciuszko Nation Park. These can be hired most service stations on your way to Thredbo or we can organise them for you from our Jindabyne Hire Partner.

Oversnow Transfers: Are not required. Thredbo provides a free shuttle bus which travels continually around the resort. The shuttle service normally operates daily from 7.30am to 5.30pm. Additionally, a bus operates around the entire village after hours between 5.30 to 9.00pm on Sunday through to Thursday evenings and until 2am on Friday night and midnight on Saturday.

Kosciuszko National Park Entry: You will be required to pay an entry fee for the National Park (Thredbo Village lies inside the National Park) which is $27 per vehicle per day. Alternatively you can purchase an annual pass for $190

Parking: There is ample FREE parking available in the Friday Flat car park.

Coach Transfers:

Getting to Thredbo via coach has a number of options. You will need to first get a flight to Canberra from there you can get transfers Jindabyne and Thredbo.
