Mountain Weather
Weather information on NSW Snowy Mountains & VIC Alps

Weather
Weather in the Mountains can be unpredictable, with the chance of snow and cold winds even in the middle of Summer . Winter temperatures can fall suddenly to below minus 15 degrees celsius and Summer temperatures can soar above 35 degrees, so it’s worth getting a weather forecast before heading out for the day.
Whether you’re travelling in summer or winter, it’s a good idea to always carry a waterproof jacket, a jumper, sun block/sun screen, a broad brimmed hat and a good supply of water. When walking or camping in the mountains, always inform friends or family of your intended route and when you are likely to return.
